Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs: Who We Are

How do I sign up for an event?

Simply contact me by email or phone to let me know you will be attending an event and if you will require a rental (no more than $20, CASH).  You can also go on social media (Facebook events) to sign up for an event as well.

What should I wear to SUP Yoga?

Catch 22!  Attire for your SUP Yoga practice depends on the weather.  On the cooler days, dress in layers:  capri pants, a support top, and a light sweater or jacket will work well.  On those scorching hot days, you are welcome to wear your bathing suit or yoga shorts and a sports bra.

What should I bring to SUP Yoga?

Preference.  Some yogis bring just themselves!  But, you are welcome to bring on to your board a waterproof case for your phone (for pictures) and a bottle of water.  I like to bring my Camelbak to hold water and anything else (car keys, phone, a snack, etc.).  Make sure you bring a towel (and maybe an extra set of clothes) for the ride home.  Don't forget the sunscreen and sunglasses!

Should I arrive early?

If this is your first event, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign some releases and gather your rental gear.  If you are bringing your own inflatable SUP, plan ahead.  I find 30 minutes gives me enough time to inflate my SUP and gather my stuff before going on the water.

Do I have to do the yoga class, or can I just paddleboard?

You are more than welcome to just paddle board and enjoy the time on the water!  No need to do the yoga class!

What if I have never done yoga before?

No worries!  SUP Yoga teachers modify all the poses.  You can stay close to your board and never stand up if you choose.  You are welcome to watch and join in when you are comfortable.

What if I have never tried Stand Up Paddleboarding before, but I have practiced yoga?

Wonderful!  SUP Yoga teachers will give you a crash course on the board and paddle, correct technique on paddling, and other tips before the start of class.
